What are you doing in Vegas or any NLE when you are working on an interlaced project bringing in progressive scan stills to prevent interlaced flickering/ Please don't just say you click the switch in your NLE to reduce interlaced flicker...lol. Appreciate any input here.

I'm thinking about grabbing only about 10% of the screen. Is that video
going to be worth watching if I blow it up to 720x480?

I assume you've use Camtasia for partial screen capture. The software
isn't cheap, but looks like it would do the job. Would it record sync sound
simultaneously?

FCP question - sudden honking sound

hi fellows,
I wonder if anyone has encountered this problem with FCP?
I am editing a regular timeline - meaning two voiceover tracks, with a
music cut underneath. During playback in one section, there is a
sudden, very loud honking sound that plays for about 1/3 seconds. It
doesn't happen all the time, and its not exactly in the same place

VHS-c to VHS via surgery?

Hi folks,
A caller needs to see the video (NTSC) from a VHS-c tape. Unfortunately, they have no access to a vhs-c camcorder and neither of us has an adapter. Finding a quality adapter is probably next to impossible as well as a bit expensive for a one time job. Is it a good idea to just respool the tape from the vhs-c cartridge to a full sized VHS shell for playback and transfer to DVD? Is this as easy as I think it would be? Thanks.
