It occurs to me that they do themselves no favours when the 'Grand
Master of the Royal Orders of Knighthood' calls himself 'Dux de
Legaxpi and Duque de Vivar-Maniquiz'.
Many of the 'Knights of the Order of Sulu seem to have ripped off
'their' coats of arms from the Bigot Roll.

When Philippines become a republic or completely independent, was

Is there not a procedure for trying someone in the Houses of
Parliament by bringing them to the 'bar of the house'? Some of those
that have rorted the system - as well as being tried in the regular
courts - should also be tried in the Lords and summarily dismissed. I
am sure the Prime Minister could easily find a replacement.

Aaah...thanks. It seems strange that someone can lose his knighthood
but not his peerage. Is it anything to do with the fact that
knighthoods are honours and peerages are created by letters patent.
